JCC shines spotlight on Manx film industry

The contribution of the film industry to the Manx economy will be explored at an event hosted by the Junior Chamber of Commerce next week.
A debate next Wednesday will ask what measures are being taken by the Department of Economic Development to safeguard the Manx tax payers' ?12 million investment in Pinewood Shepperton Studios and the ?25 million media development fund.
MHK Laurence Skelly who has responsibility for film and media at DED will introduce the event - where JCC members and guests are promised a cinematic experience, popcorn and refreshments.
The Future of Isle of Man Film is on 24 July at the Broadway Cinema in the Villa Marina complex, from 5.45pm.
