Flybe to pull out of Southampton again

by isleofman.com 3rd July 2013
Airline Flybe has confirmed it will end its direct flights between the Island and Southampton later this month.

The service, which operates three times a week, was only brought back into operation in May.

But a spokesman for the airline said the route had ‘failed to meet renewed expectations’ and will end on July 21.

Passengers booked after that date will be offered alternative flights or a full refund.

In April, Flybe brought an end to its service between the Isle of Man and Gatwick after selling its slots at the London airport to Easyjet for ?20 million.
