Tax transparency unlikely to drop off the agenda says BDO boss

The private sector won't enjoy new initiatives with regard to transparency - but that's the way the world is moving.

That's the view of Managing Director of BDO Isle of Man, Phillip Dearden, after the chief minister committed the Isle of Man to a key role in tackling global tax evasion.

Mr Bell and counterparts from other Crown Dependencies and Offshore Territories had talks with Prime Minister David Cameron at the Tax, Trade and Transparency mini summit in London ahead of the G8 gathering of world leaders in Northern Ireland.

Mr Dearden says the issue isn't likely to go away after the G8 has finished
