30 delegates are attending the annual British and Irish Sound Archive conference and training event hosted on the Isle of Man this year. The conference will take place at the Manx Museum on Friday 17th  and Saturday 18th May. Delegates will also be taking a tour of the Manx Radio studio.

Speakers include industry experts from the Science Museum and The British Library as well as Paul Weatherall, Library and Archive Services Officer and Roland Arden-Corris, A.V Technician from Manx National Heritage, who will present a Manx case study of Digitising Sound Archives.

Digitising sound records has formed part of the iMuseum online project. Many more are held in the National Library and Archive within the care of Manx National Heritage.
