Isle of Man succession law will be the topic for discussion at a STEP Isle of Man presentation next week.
Advocate Paul Kerruish will present the event ‘Isle of Man Succession Law and Related Matters’ on behalf of the professional body at the Claremont Hotel in Douglas on Thursday 23th May. Booking in and refreshments will be available from 12.40pm and the hour-long presentation will start at 1pm.
The CPD session will cover the freedom of disposition in the Isle of Man (subject to the possibility of a claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1982) and summaries of the Isle of Man Intestate Succession, the Isle of Man Applications for Grants of Probate/Letters of Administration Procedures and the issues surrounding Will Validity and Revocation of Wills in the Isle of Man Attendance.
Paul Kerruish has had considerable experience in a wide range of practice areas and in more recent years has focused on the non-contentious private client and commercial sectors, having set up KLT’s corporate and trust services offering to provide a full service to private client and commercial clients, particularly with a focus on trust and corporate asset protection and holding structures. His admission, positions & memberships include Barrister (England & Wales) (non-practicing), Advocate (Isle of Man), Commissioner for Oaths Notary Public. He is Vice President of the Isle of Man Law Society Council, Chairman of the Isle of Man Law Society Property Law Committee and a Member of the Institute of Directors.
