Raymotors Automotive Group supplies new vehicle fleet for Panelcraft

by isleofman.com 14th May 2013

Panelcraft has recently taken delivery of a brand new vehicle fleet supplied by Raymotors Automotive Group of Ramsey.

The Isle of Man’s exclusive Volkswagen dealer has supplied one of the Island’s leading accident repair specialists with eight VW ‘up!s’, which will be used as courtesy cars for its clients whilst their own vehicles are being fixed.

The deal between the two vehicle specialists has been brokered by Mark Davenport of Lombard Manx and marks a significant investment from Panelcraft, both in its own business infrastructure and in another Manx company.

Raymotors Automotive Group was able to offer a range of vehicle solutions to meet the needs of Panelcraft thanks to its multi-franchise offering. As well as being the Isle of Man’s exclusive Volkswagen dealer, it is also the exclusive dealer for Mazda, Seat and Suzuki, and the only Audi approved parts agent.

Panelcraft chose the VW ‘up!’ because of its excellent value for money, efficiency and technical specification. From just ?8,095 on the road, it offers a very economical performance with 78.5 miles per gallon (extra-urban basis), and is available in a petrol engine with manual and automatic variations. Isle of Man road tax on the Blue Motion edition is just ?28 per year, and ?34 year on all other ‘up!’ models.

The VW ‘up!’ was voted What Car? magazine’s ‘Car of the Year 2012’, ‘Best City Car 2012’, and ‘World Car of the Year 2012’, testament to Volkswagen’s revolutionary and cutting-edge technology and driver vision.

David Casement and Christine Radcliffe, Co-Directors of Raymotors Automotive Group, commented: “We have a firm belief in doing business with other Manx companies and so we’re very pleased that we have been able to supply Panelcraft with their new vehicle fleet. We’d like to thank them for their business. The Volkswagen up! is one of the best small cars on the market and is incredibly popular, especially so because it allows drivers to purchase one of the world’s most superior vehicle brands for an excellent price. Through our four franchises we can meet the vehicle needs of any individual or company, be it in the small car, family vehicle, estate and 4x4, cabriolet or green sectors, and have a dedicated team available to serve their needs and arrange finance where necessary.”

Panelcraft’s Bodyshop Manager, Ross Charlton, said: ”It was really important to us when choosing a supplier for our new vehicle fleet that we kept our investment on-Island and purchased from a Manx company rather than buying cars from the UK. Raymotors Automotive Group really exceeded our expectations both in terms of the huge choice of vehicles they were able to recommend to us, and in their advice and customer service.

“It’s important to us to make sure our clients are supplied with a solid and reliable vehicle whilst we’re repairing theirs, and you cannot argue with the quality of a Volkswagen. We are delighted with our new fleet.”
