Public Accounts Committee investigates Transforming Government Programme

by isleofman.com 8th May 2013

The Public Accounts Committee is investigating the Transforming Government Programme. The Committee will take oral evidence next week from the Treasury Minister, Hon Eddie Teare MHK and the Chief Secretary, Mr Will Greenhow. Mr Dan Davies of the Chief Secretary’s Office has also been called to give evidence.

The Transforming Government Programme has arisen as a result of the need to reconsider the operation of Government in the light of the economic situation and pressures being placed upon  the Isle of Man. The Programme was initiated in 2008. It has already had an impact on back office shared services (financial, HR, procurement) and on the development of corporate opportunities such as Customer First and the estates shared service.

The Committee intends to take this evidence on Wednesday 8th May 2013 at 3.00 pm in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. The evidence will be taken in public; members of the public are welcome to attend.
