Over 80 guests turned out at the Courthouse Club on a sunny evening last Thursday night, 25th April for the spring eClub party. The ‘Gamblers and Fraudsters’ event was generously sponsored by ID and verification provider, Callcredit Information Group.
Guests were given a replica debit card on arrival; each card had a unique number on. Throughout the night guests took their cards to a Callcredit representative who then revealed if their card was being controlled by a gambler or a fraudster. Afterwards, several guests were rewarded with great prizes including champagne and the big prize of the night was awarded to Andrew Shimmin from Hamblin, who went away with a brand new iPad mini.
As a first time sponsor of the Isle of Man eClub, Callcredit's Sadie Guymer commented on the event's success: “The evening was a great opportunity for us to learn more about the Island’s eGaming sector while helping Callcredit to expand its network and meet new contacts on the Isle of Man. We were thrilled to be able to sponsor this event and would like to thank everyone who attended."
The eClub is a social meeting place for anyone involved in eGaming on the Isle of Man or those with an interest in the sector. The initiative was started by KPMG and Continent 8 Technologies to bring the growing number of people working in the sector together in one place and start building lasting relationships. As well as providing a social venue, the eClub party also gives colleagues and friends the opportunity to chat informally about ideas and issues within eGaming on the Island.
