Friends and colleagues at Boston gathered together recently at the Circular Road offices to enjoy a champagne reception in celebration of the Group’s 10th year of providing bespoke fiduciary services on the Isle of Man and further afield.
Now one of the largest providers of financial services on the Island, Boston Group began its operations in wealth stewardship under the guidance of Chairman Richard Moore, who set up Boston Group in 2002 with a view to coordinating and enhancing the Moore family’s affairs. After then deciding to settle in the Isle of Man permanently in 2004, and being of an entrepreneurial disposition having spent 30 years in family manufacturing, retail and venture capital businesses, Mr Moore then elected to expand the Group into what is now one of the leading trust companies on the Island.
Boston Group began operation with just 1 employee, a number that has risen to over fifty, with further growth planned over coming years. It now offers a wide range of services to an ever expanding portfolio of clients from across the globe and has also recently increased its reach with the opening of new offices in Swatar, Malta.
Commenting on the Group’s successes over the past decade, Group Chairman Mr Richard Moore stated: “When I made the decision to establish Boston, I had very definite ideas of what I wanted to achieve in terms of ensuring the family had a dedicated team committed to achieving outstanding service. It was also my intention to develop an entrepreneurial culture within the business, which enabled people to learn, grow and, at the same time, focus on their day-to-day work. On our 10th anniversary, I can truthfully say that this has proven to be a successful formula. We continually refer back to our original principles and commitments, which include providing an exceptional service to our clients. Business is all about people; we employ a talented team and look after our employees. I am delighted to be associated with one of the leading trust companies on the Isle of Man.”
Director Ruth Robinson, who was one of the Group’s first employees, also commented: “The 10th year anniversary in business is a huge accomplishment. Businesses take time to grow and flourish, and I am delighted this milestone has not just passed by as another day on the calendar. It doesn’t seem a moment ago that Boston was in its first stages and I was accepting an offer of employment within the family office. This promised huge opportunities originating from a business that has evolved by using simple principles, service, entrepreneurialism and hard work! I am proud to have seen it grow into the successful business it has become and look forward to seeing what the next ten years will bring.”
