Institute of Chartered Secretaries and
Administrators (ICSA) Isle of Man
Paul Hotchkiss will return to the ICSA on the 10th April to give a presentation to members and guests titled: ’ Isle of Man UK disclosure facility: Innocent mistakes and oversights’ at the Claremont Hotel in Douglas, and sponsored by Hotchkiss Associates.
Coupled with the spectre of the IOM-UK Inter-Governmental Agreement, the Isle of Man disclosure facility is one of the most significant developments for the Isle of Man in recent times. The IoMDF presents opportunities for the Fiduciaries and their clients to regularise any historic tax matters quickly and easily - anyone at any level in the C/TSP business will consider this briefing essential and it is anticipated that places will be taken up quickly.
Paul Hotchkiss is a former tax partner in KPMG and established his own company, Hotchkiss Associates Limited, in 2010 and is based in the Isle of Man. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant, Trust and Estate Practitioner and a UK Chartered Tax Adviser. He is currently the Chairman of the Isle of Man branch of STEP and was the inaugural Chairman of the Isle of Man branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Paul specialises in four main areas:
• UK private client tax services covering such matters as UK residence domicile and the taxation of trusts and companies established for families;
• Inward investment into the UK by non-UK resident individuals, trusts and companies (including funds);
• The taxation and international structuring of offshore funds and related matters; and
• Tax investigations, which includes assisting individuals, trustees and directors of companies to deal with HMRC enquiries into their tax affairs.
Gillian Prestwich, ICSA IOM Chairman, “Paul’s presentation last year on the UK Statutory Residence Test was very well received and we anticipate this event will be equally valuable. Once again we thank Paul for taking the time to talk to the ICSA and Hotchkiss Associates for sponsoring the event. We would expect the places to be taken up quickly - so book early !"
The event starts at 6pm for 6.15pm. Admission is free to members. Places for non-members (subject to availability) are ?15 each.
