SMP Partners, the dominant provider of corporate services to the Isle of Man's e-gaming sector, recently joined representatives of the Department of Economic Development at the iGaming Asia Congress ("iGA") in Macau.
SMP’s impressive portfolio of licensed gaming operators and software providers already includes a large number of Asian facing gaming operators, so the Asian conference was a great opportunity for Group Director, David Hudson and his colleague, Lorna Coniglio-Burrows, to meet existing clients and potential new licensees considering the Isle of Man as a licensing jurisdiction.
David Hudson, commented, "The conference was an undoubted success for SMP Partners; not only does it allow us to meet with our existing portfolio of Asian facing e-gaming companies on their soil, we are presented with many opportunities to speak with operators interested in the significant benefits that the Isle of Man can bring. This is the fourth year running that SMP Partners has attended the conference, and the level of interest this year suggests that the Asian facing e-gaming community has clearly recognised the value of our in-depth knowledge and understanding of their specific market.
“This understanding is further enhanced by the VAT consultancy and structuring capability provided by our colleague, Peter Duchars. It is this tangible, real world expertise that over the years our clients have come to appreciate and, as is the nature of Asian community, gives them the confidence to introduce SMP to their friends, contacts and peer groups."
The iGA is an annual coming together of Asia's online betting and e-gaming community; representatives of many of the continent's largest e-gaming companies are joined by professionals representing payment providers, technology solutions companies and providers of professional services. A key date in the calendar for the Isle of Man's e-gaming community, the Island was well represented with many corporate service providers and hosting companies supporting representatives of the Department for Economic Development's e-gaming team.
Mr Hudson continued, "As a primary contributor to the growth of the Island's gaming sector over the last four years, it is immensely satisfying to see that across the Asian gaming community, the Isle of Man remains the jurisdiction of choice. Furthermore, our unrivalled technical expertise and broad service offering continues to set us apart, and drive the rapid growth of our e-gaming portfolio."
