Forward Ladies is looking for the region’s top female business talent as it launches the 2013 Women in Business Awards for the North West and Isle of Man.
The awards – sponsored by Barclays, are now in their third year and continue to grow. Q Hotels, United Utilities and Amplitude Audio Visual Services have also been announced as category sponsors.
Caroline Pullich, Head of Relationship Banking for Barclays said: “At Barclays we recognise that women in business are a major contributor to the UK economy and we’re delighted to be partnering with Forward Ladies again, celebrating exceptional achievements in tough economic trading conditions.
“These awards encourage an environment that supports women on their entrepreneurial journey and they are a fantastic opportunity for ladies to network and share ideas and knowledge.”
With a record number of entries in 2012, the Women in Business Awards have attracted a wealth of serious talent from all corners of the region’s professional women.
Winner of the Business Woman of the Year title for the North West and Isle of Man 2012 was Candice Fonseca of Deli Fonseca in Liverpool. She was also the winner in the retail businesswoman of the year category.
This year’s awards ceremony will take place at the Midland Hotel on 6 November with an audience of senior businesswomen and their guests. Managing Director of Forward Ladies, Etta Cohen said:
“The awards continue to grow both in numbers and reputation, with previous winners setting the standard and inspiring others to set up and to grow their existing businesses. We know the economic climate has been exceptionally tough for all businesses, but by working together and inspiring others, we know that women can help to get this country back on its feet.”
