by isleofman.com 11th March 2013

Manx Telecom will be showcasing its world class hosting services at the iGaming Asia Congress in Macau. The event is the official conference and expo for all those involved in online and mobile betting, gambling and lotteries in Asia. Organisers say iGA 2013 promises to provide an unbeatable opportunity for gaining a comprehensive overview of the business strategies and marketing tactics of operators in the region. Around 300 exhibitors and speakers from around the world will attend the event. Among a long list of major businesses represented at the Congress are 188Bet, Bodog, footballbet.com, Hutchison Global Communications, Sportsbet and Unibet. Manx Telecom will be represented by Stuart Paul, Data Centres Director, Fergal McKenna, Sales Director, and John Dunne, Account Manager.

Stuart Paul commented:

“iGaming Asia Congress is an important event to attend in order to keep pace with developments in this rapidly changing industry and to gain an in depth understanding of the opportunities in the Asian market. Attendance at iGaming Asia is essential for all businesses involved in this sector, so it is vital that Manx Telecom has a strong representation. eGaming plays a significant role in Manx Telecom’s strategy for growth, and it’s equally important for Isle of Man plc.”

Isle of Man Government will also be represented at the Congress - Head of eGaming Tim Craine is one of the key speakers. eGaming now accounts for 8% of  the Isle of Man’s GDP with around 700 employees in the sector - figures which indicate the growing importance of eGaming to the Island’s economy. Manx Telecom’s Data Centre at Douglas North - the only purpose-built Data Centre on the Island - plays a vital role in the Island’s strength as an eGaming jurisdiction. The Douglas North centre offers world-class data security, super fast and highly resilient connectivity, fully outsourced managed platforms, plus expandable hosting, network capacity and cloud-based services. Manx Telecom’s growing portfolio of eGaming clients already includes some of the world’s largest poker sites and sports books as well as online bookmakers, global payment processors, international e-money providers, global banks, international insurance companies, music platforms and government departments. Manx Telecom manages hundreds of thousands of users at any one moment and every year processes billions of pounds of transactions through its purpose built facilities.

The iGaming Asia Congress is being held at the Grand Hyatt in Macau from March 12-14. For more information go to www.igamingasiacongress.com or www.manxtelecom.com/hosting.
