New Assessor of Income Tax appointed

by isleofman.com 8th March 2013

The Isle of Man will have a new Assessor of Income Tax next month.

Nicola Guffogg takes over the key Treasury role from Malcolm Couch who has been appointed the government's Chief Financial Officer.

Ms Guffogg has been Deputy Assessor in the Income Tax Division for the past six years.

She says the Island’s tax regime and reputation have been essential to its economic success and has promised to do all she can to ensure that continues, adding she looks forward to building on the constructive and valued relationships she already has with the private sector.

Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says Nicola is well known and respected both in the Isle of Man and internationally and he's sure she'll be a success in the challenging new role.
