by isleofman.com 7th March 2013

Equiom Marine and Aviation Services (Jersey) Limited, which provides niche employment services to vessel owners and operators, are to attend Cruise Miami from 12th to 14th March 2013.

Scott Le Cornu (Operations Officer) will be attending the three day event as part of Equiom’s overall strategy to develop new business opportunities within the cruise sector.  Speaking ahead of the event Scott said; “Exhibitions such as Cruise Miami provide us with valuable opportunities to meet with our clients, develop new business leads and gain further insight into this market sector. It allows us to demonstrate our capability on a one to one basis in relation to the benefits our services provide to vessel owners, operators and crew. Following the ratification of the Maritime Labour Convention we have received a number of enquiries in relation to commercial seafarer contracts and sub-contractor agreements which need to be replaced with MLC Seafarer Employment Agreements (SEA) by August 2013. Our team has developed significant experience in this area and as such we are well positioned to showcase our expertise in Miami”.

Billed as the cruise industry’s premier global event, Cruise Miami is set to attract over 10,000 industry buyers and decision makers, with the potential to unlock business across all product sectors. The show promises delegates three days of networking, exhibitions, and educational sessions offering robust information on the latest issues and trends.
