Huge turnout for pre-ICE eGaming event

by isleofman.com 5th February 2013

Almost 80 members of the Isle of Man eClub met at the Courthouse on Wednesday night, 30th January.  The gathering, kindly sponsored by leading trust and corporate service provider, Equiom, was a chance for everyone related to the Manx eGaming industry to meet before next week’s ICE Totally Gaming, the annual exhibition for offline and online gaming in London.

For this party, guests were treated to spectacular ice sculptures in keeping with the evening’s theme, as well as complimentary green shots.  In addition, one lucky guest walked away with a bottle of fine champagne, after winning Equiom’s prize draw for the evening.

This is the second eClub that Equiom have sponsored, marking them as a major supporter of the Manx eGaming industry.  Equiom’s Managing Director, Sheila Dean, commented on the latest event: “We always love the opportunity to catch up with our many clients and contacts in the eGaming sector, and the eClub is another great opportunity to do so.  We are particularly glad for the opportunity just ahead of a major event such as ICE, which we will be attending next week alongside other key representatives of the Isle of Man.  I’m also delighted that everyone enjoyed themselves at the first major party of 2013!”

The eClub is a social meeting place for anyone involved in eGaming on the Isle of Man or those with an interest in the sector.  The initiative was started by KPMG and Continent 8 Technologies to bring the growing number of people working in the sector together in one place and start building lasting relationships.  As well as providing a social venue, the eClub party also gives colleagues and friends the opportunity to chat informally about ideas and issues within eGaming on the Island.
