Barclays welcomes new Compliance appointment

Barclays Wealth & Investment Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Lesley Corlett who has joined as a Vice President and Head of Compliance at Barclays in the Isle of Man.

In this role, Lesley will provide regulatory advice and guidance to all business segments operating in the Isle of Man as part of the UK & Offshore Islands Teams. Lesley joins Barclays Wealth and Investment Management from Kleinwort Benson where she was Head of Isle of Man Compliance and Operational Risk and MLRO. Prior to this Lesley was the Head of Offshore Compliance at Close Bank and Head of Compliance and Operational Risk International at Nedgroup.

Commenting on her appointment, Lesley said: ‘The size and breadth of Barclays operations which encompass a wide range of local and international products and services brings a huge amount of variety to our work within the Compliance Team which is greatly rewarding.’

Managing Director at Barclays Isle of Man Simon Scott added: “We’re delighted to welcome Lesley as a valuable addition to our team.  The speed and scope of change in relation to regulatory requirements coupled with the increasing influence of global regulation means her depth of experience and knowledge in this area is invaluable to the business and will help us to ensure that we continue to support our clients to the highest standards.’
