Online Tax Services enhanced - Sign up Now

by isleofman.com 4th February 2013
There have been further additions to Online Tax Services that enable people to deal with their tax affairs from the comfort of their own home and at a time which is convenient to them.

Online Tax Services users can now receive letters issued to them electronically and will be able to have refunds of income tax overpayments paid directly into their bank account from next month. Existing services allow people to receive tax returns, assessments and tax codes electronically, review their balances, pay their tax bills and calculate their tax liability immediately after completing their return.

During the past year almost 15% of people submitted their tax returns online; which results in administrative cost savings and reduced environmental impact as the amount of paper forms and notices issued by the Income Tax Division decreases.

The Income Tax Division is encouraging more people to use online services now, in light of the wide suite of services available and in view of the impending bulk posting of tax returns in April.

People wishing to register should go to www.gov.im/onlineservices and then follow the links to enrol for tax services.
