HSBC has strengthened its team in the Isle of Man with the appointment of Julie Owen as a Retail Financial Advisor.
Julie joins the Bank’s team of expert advisors with a view to looking after the specific needs of personal customers in the Isle of Man. With the aim of making the banking experience as smooth as possible, Julie will be on hand to advise and assist local customers with a broad range of banking needs, including savings, investments and mortgages.
Julie has a background of over 16 years of industry experience on the island. Working at Skandia throughout this time, she began her career there in the international sales team and for the last four and half years worked as a Business Consultant, looking after Isle of Man-based Financial Advisers.
Originally from Swindon, Julie moved to the Isle of Man in 1996. She holds a QCF Level 4 diploma in Financial Planning and is close to attaining a Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society (PFS). Passionate about the merits of professional qualifications, in 2013 Julie will become the Education Officer for the local PFS. She looks forward to supporting fellow members and helping to raise the profile of the industry.
With one daughter, and Bella, the West Highland terrier puppy keeping her busy during her hours outside of the office, Julie finds time whenever she can to indulge in her other passions: traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, yoga and walking.
Ian Bush, Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at HSBC Isle of Man, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Julie as a key member of HSBC’s advisory team in the Isle of Man. She brings an exceptional amount of knowledge and experience to her new role. This will be integral to HSBC's efforts to continue to offer a consistently high standard of service to all our personal customers right across the Island.”
