KPMG Isle of Man has announced the release of its Isle of Man 2012 eGaming Summit Report.

Sponsored by Continent 8 Technologies, it provides a summary of the day’s events as well as individual presentations by Government and EU representatives as well as key stakeholders and industry specialists. Hosted at the Mount Murray Hotel on the 22nd November last year, the KPMG Isle of Man 2012 eGaming Summit was the fifth in an ongoing series designed to provide a forum within which delegates can discuss the future of the global eGaming industry, its challenges and opportunities.

Highlights included a welcome address by the Isle of Man Government’s Chief Minister, Hon Allan Bell MHK, as well as a licensing and regulatory update from Brussels based representative to the EU, Pierre Tournier of the Remote Gambling Association, or RGA. This year’s KPMG Summit also featured a new addition to the traditional programme with a breakout room separate from the main conference hall which provided delegates with the opportunity to engage with industry experts in a more intimate and informal setting.

Commenting on the day’s events, Director of eGaming Services at KPMG Russell Kelly stated:

“eGaming and eBusiness as a sector is now the second largest contributor to the Island’s GDP and will no doubt inform much of our economic culture in years to come. The KPMG eGaming Summit attempts to span all areas of this dynamic and exciting industry, from technological advancements and social integration to tax law and regulation and the post-Summit Report is an invaluable and very popular resource for anyone with an interest in the Island’s flourishing eGaming industry and the ways in which it is positioned within the broader global context.”
