by isleofman.com 22nd January 2013

Equiom, the Isle of Man headquartered trust and corporate service provider, is delighted to announce that Managing Director, Sheila Dean has been appointed to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Trustee Managed Portfolio Indices (TMPI) Oversight Board.

TMPI has been developed as a STEP member service and will be distributed free to members and private client practitioners.  The main purpose of creating the indices is to bring about transparency and understanding between the trustee and discretionary investment management professions in relation to communicating investment risk and understanding investment returns.

Sheila speaking about her appointment said; “I am honoured to have been asked by STEP to join the Board.  It is a fantastic new initiative and one which I am delighted to become involved with.  Many of the Equiom team are STEP members and this new service will enable them to take advantage of this resource which will provide them with powerful information about investment performance and risk.”

The Indices will be produced by Enhance Group Limited, with further benefits being to provide a standard terminology for practitioners to communicate with the investment management industry.
