A former president of Full Tilt Poker has reached an agreement with the American government over money laundering.
Howard Lederer reached a settlement with Department of Justice attorneys to forfeit $2.5 million without admitting wrongdoing.
Mr Lederer faced a civil money-laundering complaint after the US government cracked down on many poker sites offering services to players in the US.
Included in the assets he’ll forfeit is an Isle of Man bank account described as a “retirement” account.
Full Tilt Poker has since been bought by Island-based Pokerstars and the site reopened last month.
