MT helps Victim Support

by isleofman.com 11th December 2012

Victim Support Isle of Man has been given a mobile phone which will be put to good use helping the charity’s clients.

VS is an independent charity supporting victims of crime, domestic abuse and those affected by fatal road traffic collisions.

A Samsung mobile phone and SIM pack was donated to the charity by Manx Telecom.

Victim Support’s clients sometimes need a mobile phone to call for help in an emergency if, for example, they have been a victim of harassment or domestic abuse.

Alternatively, having been a victim of crime, the Police may need to check their phone for evidence and the victim needs to have a phone while theirs is being examined.

Catherine Perkins, of Victim Support, says the donation will help Victim Support to continue to provide assistance to victims of crime and has expressed the charity's thanks to Manx Telecom.
