New political group

A new political lobby group is being formed in the Isle of Man.

The Positive Action Group aims to shake-up the political scene - and encourage more of us to get out and vote.

Positive Action wants to see many more people get involved in the election process and campaign on key issues facing the Island.

A long-term aim is to find more candidates to stand for election as MHKs, so that in future none are elected unopposed.

The group's holding its first public event at the Empress Hotel tonight - a talk by former minister Edgar Quine (pictured).
