Resident World Superbike starts James Toseland and Andrew Pitt were in action at Round two of the championship at Phillip Island, Australia at the weekend.Toseland managed a race win last week in Qatar, but in race one this time round, he only managed third spot. The race was led by Troy Bayliss until a mid-race loss of forward drive dropped him down the field. Troy Corser went on to take the win, with Alex Barros second and Toseland third. The second 22 lap race took place in similarly warm conditions, but with a slightly warmer track leading some riders to choose harder tyres. One of those was winner, Australian Troy Bayliss. He eventually passed long time leader James Toseland with seven laps to go. Alex Barros was third. Pitt finished in fifth. The next round is in Valencia at the end of April.
