Legislative process slow

Making sure important bills are passed before the general election is proving a struggle.

That's according to Home Affairs Minister, John Shimmin.

In January Chief Minister, Donald Gelling, warned that essential legislation would fall by the wayside if it wasn't completed in time.

The House of Keys has been sitting on Wednesday afternoons in order to deal with all matters on the order paper.

But Mr Shimmin says it's important not to rush legislation through without consideration:
