Two new Manx books will be launched at Bunscoill, the Manx-medium primary school in St Johns this afternoon (Friday).
The Manx Gaelic Society, Yn Cheshaght Ghailckagh, is launching 'The Vampire Murders', the first full-length novel ever to be written in Manx, and 'Rex Carlo in the Isle of Man'.
The Vampire Murders has been written by Brian Stowell, who has also translated the Rex Carlo novel into Manx at the request of the author, the late Cathal O Sandair.
It tells of the fight to the death in the Island between the famous Dublin detective Rex Carlo and a fiendish criminal.
