Minister defends PO closure

by isleofman.com 13th March 2006
The Chairman of Isle of Man Post has defended her decision to allow the closure of the obnly sub-post office serving west Douglas.

The Brunswick Road outlet will no longer carry-out postal business from the end of this month.

And although two other businesses in the area applied to take over, both were turned down.

But Pam Crowe MLC (pictured) says there are other post offices within walking distance and there's no question of any areas of the Island being left without a local service.
