Flood warning

by isleofman.com 13th March 2006
The continued heavy rain fall is causing flooding across the Isle of Man this evening.

The fire service has been called out to dozens of properties in the north and west of the island where drains have been unable to cope with the volume of water.

On the roads driving conditions are treacherous - with large areas of standing water.

The advice - drive slowly - check your drains anre not blocked - and don't go out unless you have to.

Station officer John Murtagh has been at the sharp end of events
