Police are appealing for information after the theft of tools from an attic room in Douglas power station.

Amongst the stolen items were socket sets, screwdrivers, files and pliers worth ?800.

The company’s chief engineer says the person responsible has made a considerable effort to get to the tools as they were locked in two chests, which were forced open.

The incident is believed to have happened in October and November last year.

Anyone with information is asked to get in contact with the police.
