Clear drains warning

by isleofman.com 15th March 2006
The Manx Fire Service is warning householders to clear their drains following nine emergency callouts for flooding.

The incidents happened across the Island in the past two days following the recent heavy rainfalls.

Crews visited both domestic and commercial properties, they used various types of pumps to clear drains and sandbag empty buildings.

Even though the service was called out nine times, some of those were for various properties in one area.

Fire officers spent between one and four hours at the different locations.
