Commonwealth Games opens

People around the world are watching the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in Melbourne, Australia.

In all 4,500 athletes from 71 countries are taking part in the Games, it's costing the Australian government around 4 hundred and 50 million pounds.

The sports covered by Manx entrants are Athletics, Badminton, Lawn Bowls, Cycling, Swimming, Gymnastics and Shooting.

In the last hour, the Isle of Man’s Team with its 27 competitors, plus coaches and officials, marched proudly with the Manx flag:
