There is good news from the Isle of Man Water Authority.
There are no plans for a hosepipe ban this year, although householders are being told they must do their bit to conserve supplies.
It's thanks both to the extra supplies generated by the new treatment works in Sulby and heavy rain.
Marian Kenny reports (text of attached audio file):
The Island's reservoirs are full and overflowing at the moment and that's put the Water Authority in the enviable position of not having to impose restrictions, as in recent years.
Meanwhile, hosepipe bans are being enforced in other parts of the British Isles.
Rainfall is not the only issue.
The Authority's capacity to distribute treated water is another major factor.
Extra supplies are now available from the Sulby treatment works and improvements in the pipeline and pumping facility from Sulby into West Baldwin reservoir have also helped.
But the Authority's Chief Executive, Patrick Heaton-Armstrong, is urging all customers to treat water as a precious resource and use it wisely in the coming months.
