Bowlers pull off shock at Commonwealth Games

Day One of the Commonwealth Games and the Isle of Man ladies bowls pairing has pulled off a shock win against New Zealand.

Pauline Kelly and Maureen Payne- nicknamed 'the battling grannies' beat the current Commonwealth champions in the women's pairs.

They won 2-1 in sets, winning the first 11-2, they lost the second 15-3 and after a break to allow a hail shower to pass, they won the deciding tie break over 3 ends 2-nil.

Maurine and Pauline also went on to win their second match against Samoa.
