Owen inquest

The inquest looking into the death of a man who died over one and half years ago resumed this morning.

John Owen from Wales crashed while racing in the first ever Port Erin Classic Sprint during the Manx Grand Prix of 2004.

The 61 year old lost control of his Kawasaki and crashed into a wall, the bike was thrown into the sea.

The case was referred to the serious crime unit.

Further details of the incident will be revealed at the inquest at Douglas Courthouse today.
