A Manx family who have been stranded in Norway for 10 days will return to the Island this weekend.

75 year old Betty Callister from Castletown was on holiday, when after just two days she broke her hip.

Since then she’s been in hospital in Stavanger while her daughter Sue and partner Eddy Hudson desperately tried to arrange transport home after a dispute over medical insurance.

And after Manx Radio reported her plight, her family says a company has stepped in with an offer to fly her to the Island in an air ambulance on Saturday.

Eddy says he'll be glad to be back in the Isle of Man:
