Home fire forces road closure

by isleofman.com 17th March 2006
Fire crews have issued an appeal for home owners to clearly mark where gas cylinders are kept after a fire which forced closure of the Ballmodha Straight last night.

Three Castletown pumps were called out to the well established blaze at The White Lodge. It was in the sauna and swimming pool building. The amount of smoke produced forced the road closure.

Gas cylinders in the building had in the services words "become involved".

The building was severely damaged. No one was injured.
