by isleofman.com 18th March 2006
Marown gave themselves a massive boost in their bid to beat the drop with a 2-1 victory at Rushen on Saturday. It gave the Crosby side their second successive victory and leaves them and Old Boys battling it out to avoid the final relegation place. Old Boys could hardly have had a more miserable day - going 8-0 to unbeaten leaders Laxey. Reigning champions St George's were pushed all the way before winning 4-2 at a battling Gymns, St Mary's thrashed Ayre United 4-0, while Peel won 7-1 at already relegated Castletown.
