Off-roaders causing damage, says MHK

by isleofman.com 19th March 2006
Off-roaders churning up some of the Island’s most valuable habitats and environments will be highlighted in Tynwald on Tuesday. North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson will ask about how the Island is promoted as a destination for those involved in motorsports. He’ll ask Tourism Minister David Cretney how much has been spent advertising to aficionados in the last few years. And he’ll also ask Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne what action his department is taking to combat the problems of damaged uplands. Mr Henderson (pictured) says he knows the sport can bring valuable tourism cash to the Island.
