Valkyrs A have moved to within touching distance of the men’s Division One hockey championship after a thrilling 3-3 draw with reigning champions Bacchas A. Bacchas had to defeat the westerners to realistically keep their hopes alive but the result means Valkyrs remain firm favourites to take their crown. Bacchas’ goals were scored by David Kneale (two) and Andy Bridson.
