Post office closure delayed

The Post Office is to put off the Brunswick Road closure until their board meeting on April 7th.
Meanwhile, this Friday there is a planned protest by pensioners against the move.

It follows anger that the office, the only one in West Douglas, was to loose its license from the end of this month. That date has now been extended to the Board meeting, after that its future remains unclear.

However Terry Pullinger of the Communications Union says it looks encouraging:
