CCTV guidelines

The Manx Police force has developed new guidelines and standards for the use of CCTV systems to ensure security pictures are crystal clear.

The practice has been acclaimed as 'best practice' by the Home Office in the United Kingdom, and is now being recommended to other forces.

Crime Prevention Officer PC Mike Radclliffe says he realised shorty after taking on his role that the quality of CCTV pictures needed to improve in order to make it a significant deterrent, and this was now happening:
