by isleofman.com 21st March 2006
It has been revealed in Tynwald that computer services for government have cost over ?33 million during the past five years.

Treasury Minister Allan Bell released information which shows amounts of ?13 million was paid to '2 E 2' Isle of Man limited, ?6.8 million to Manx Telecom and ?5.7 million to Unisys limited.

The figures were provided by government information systems but only cover the top ten suppliers.

Mr. Bell accepted that problems existed in the early stages and said real concern was expressed by some departments.

But he now believes earlier short comings have been rectified.
