The Island has the capacity for a population well in excess of current levels.
So says Chief Minister Donald Gelling.
Speaking in Tynwald this morning, in response to a question from North Douglas MHK John Houghton, Mr Gelling said money spent recently, and current investment on the Island's infrastructure means there is capacity for growth.
Whilst not committing himself to specific figures, he did suggest a possible number for a future population
