Rushen demolish Peel in women's FA Cup

Rushen United went on the rampage in the women's FA Cup with a 16-0 demolition of rivals Peel. Five goals apiece from Donna Harrison and Eleanor Gawne, plus four from skipper Gill Whittle, and a goal from Becci Pate and an own goal saw the southerners romp to victory. Elsewhere, league champions Malew saw off Corinthians with a 4-0 success, led by two goal Donna Shimmin, while Castletown caused a surprise with a 2-1 victory over Gymns. Wendy Gurney was the hero with both goals with Rebecca Kelly on target for Gymns.
