Post Office petition

by isleofman.com 22nd March 2006
A petition is being raised to protest against the closure of Brunswick Road Post Office.

It is being organised by the owner of Fairfield Stores, Sheila Mills, who had applied for the licence for the Post Office, but was told the facility was closing.

Mrs Mills says the move is very unpopular and will remove the heart from the local community, and she believes it was taken purely on financial grounds:

The petition will be presented to West Douglas MHK's John Shimmin and Dominic Delaney at 5pm this Friday.
