A 21 year old man who breached a community service order has had it revoked and replaced with a fine of ?600.

Mark William Thomas Bell of Windsor Road, Douglas, appeared before the High Bailiff and admitted that he had breached the order which was imposed last year for 240 hours.

The court was told by a probation officer that he had breached the order six times by not turning up for work.

His advocate said that there were only 135 hours remaining, but the defendant found it difficult to do his job.

The order was imposed for offences of criminal damage last May.
