Kirk Michael conservation area

by isleofman.com 24th March 2006
The Department of Local Government and the Environment held an open house event today to explain its plans to create a conservation area for Kirk Michael and Glen Wyllin.

The event explained the implications of the area to residents, including how they can claim grants to maintain and repair properties inside it.

A similar area was set up in Douglas in 2002 and DLGE says it hopes to show how the scheme can benefit property owners as well as improve the area.

The event will also take place at Kirk Michael Community Civic Centre tomorrow (Saturday) between 10am and 1pm.
