Civil service superannuation

by isleofman.com 25th March 2006
Civil Servants will get their superannuation scheme after all, says Chairman of the Civil Service Commission John Houghton. (pictured)

He told Tynwald the pension scheme had been withdrawn late last year after the Government Officers Association mounted a legal challenge to it.

Mr Houghton answered a question from Peel MHK Hazel Hannan about whether a new scheme will be in place by November.

He said after taking legal advice and holding consultation, the commission would introduce a new proposal as soon as possible.
