Douglas win at home but under-strength Vagas go down at Northwich

by isleofman.com 25th March 2006
Douglas beat Halton 17-8 at Port-e-Chee to continue their good season in EuroManx South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three. Bryn Snellgrove was the star of the game, weighing in with 12 out of Douglas’ 17 points. The diminutive scrum half opened with an early penalty and then converted Bobby Ranscombe’s try to give Douglas a 10-3 half time lead. Snellgrove then touched down midway through the second half and converted his own try to round the day off. In Division One, Vagabonds poor run of form continued with a 20-0 away defeat at Northwich. An under strength Vagas, with a number of players out of position, performed well but were unable to get into their stride.
